The Granite Club — A Case Study in Memorial Planning

Someone you love has died and their life was inspiring, accomplished, and deeply multifaceted.

They reached greatness in their work and knew the wilds through expansive travel.

Their family life and charitable choices grounded them.

Peace and joy lived in their social and club communities.

Music stirred their soul, and their roaring laughter could be heard across Lake Muskoka.

And that’s just scratching the surface.

You’ve decided to move forward with a celebration of life—and with all your loved one exuded, the question becomes: how do you honour them in a way that feels meaningful, intentional, and impactful?

Because that can quickly feel overwhelming, that’s where I come in.

This is a the story of the family I am currently working with – crafting an elegant, emotionally resonant memorial at The Granite Club this June.

What I am up to behind the scenes:

✔️ Coordinating dual AV teams for a seamless in-person and livestream experience
✔️ Booking a live string trio, carefully timed to accompany tributes, a custom video, and the reception
✔️ Building a thoughtfully-paced itinerary with a beginning, middle, and gentle close—slideshow, speakers, music, food, floral atmosphere, and farewell
✔️ And above all, creating space for memory, story, and connection

Emotional arcs and tone-setting are woven throughout. No detail is too small when the goal is grace.

Families come to me when they want a different kind of goodbye—one rooted in care, elevated design, and a deep understanding of this sacred moment.
If you're beginning to think about how to honour someone close to you, I invite you to reach out. I’m here to help make it easier.
