Old-school. New-school.

I turned 47 years old last week! Ergo -

I began my career training in funeral service many years ago. It was a time of white glove standards, old-school hierarchy, and the kind of meticulous attention to detail that bordered on obsessive.

We lined up every chair in the chapel with precision—measuring distances between rows to the inch. We vacuumed lines into the carpets like we were laying a sacred path. I even mowed one funeral home’s front lawn in a crisscross diagonal pattern because that was the standard of care.

That early experience shaped my sense of service.

The pride in doing things just so.

The understanding that every detail matters to a grieving family—because when everything else feels overwhelming, the calm, quiet order of the space around you can bring a small sense of peace.

Today, I’m part of a new generation of progressive, heart-centered professionals—people creating more holistic, personalized, and meaningful ways to honour a life.

But I’ve never let go of that white glove foundation. I’ve simply softened it. I’ve traded rigid formality for warmth and flexibility. I’ve blended modern creativity with timeless care.

And the result is what my clients experience today: events that are beautifully designed and deeply personal, with the same precision, presence, and pride I learned all those years ago.

If you’re trying to figure out how to honour someone you love in a way that truly reflects who they were, I’d be honoured to help.
